I seemed to have found a balance once again,
Between a loving friend and lifelong companion,
As always, let us make an effort,
To turn over a new leaf,
Leave the past behind and
Lay to rest useless grief,
Because what I have now,
Is more than I could ask for,
More than I could ever dream,
Lost in her eyes like
A gentle flowing stream,
I’m a wanderer who’s found,
Yet another mountain to climb,
Each step will make me stronger,
But hopefully with this one,
As I’ve hoped with every single one,
I’ll reach it’s peak with my
Chest intact, with no fear of heights,
And never looking back.
Decisions are best made
Parallel to the individual,
Never hold onto something
For the sake of someone else,
Cause the eyes of fate
Never see straight,
And walking on egg shells
With a smile is never simple.
We started this fire but
I never would assume,
That if I broke the trance
In you, the flames would
Soon consume.
Leave me in
The ropes you found,
So pretty without
A knife to utilize,
Pierced it out of reach
Without an answer in
Your speech, my
Chest heaved for
That warmth,
But a fire only gives life
When its creators share
In its delight.

It Always Feels The Same
Looks like once again,
It’s time to change direction,
I’m swallowing the key so
I can attempt to keep on living.
Another sad attempt to care
For something greater than
Myself, once again I’m walking
Isolated down the crooked steps
To hell, but it’s sorrowful to think,
That the life I planned had gone
To waste, thinking of the
Dreams I had that you left
Without a trace. It’s time to
Wave goodbye again, look
Upon the dawn without
A purpose for moving on,
But it’s funny to imagine me
Living for myself, because
You know damned well I’m
So codependent I can hardly
Help it. I’m at a loss… wi
The fire’s been prolonged
By hands that hate to watch it die,
No matter the case, the end’s
Always just as cold.
Nothing new, nothing changed,
Just another spark of passion
Upon fresh tinder, made
By the hands of those
Who never linger on
Charred branches.
Set ablaze by the thought
Of something new.
Despite it’s warmth,
The burning glow cannot
Save the flame without
A tender sacrifice.
Left alone,
It always feels the same
When the fire dies.
